The ingredients I had on hand for Mexican night! January 19, 2024 Welcome back Friends! Here we are for another exciting adventure of "What didn't go as planned!" Let's back up a bit. My month started great. I was excited about my goal for the month ahead, and maybe even the following month as well. I made a couple dishes using ingredients from the pantry. Goals for 2024

January 5, 2024 Welcome back to the follow up from my last post! Some of you might remember from my first blog post that I do not believe in resolutions. However, I do believe in trying to continue working on the best parts of yourself. That means continuing the great work I started last year in developing healthy habits and continuing to see the reflection on the scale and in my general health. However, eating healthy can be so expensive, and our current economic situation makes this all the more challenging. Inflation has made grocery shopping almost painful, and I am realizing that my financial health is just as important as my physical health. So my goal this year is to cut my food budget by looking for cheaper, simpler meals that will support my body. I began turning to my credit cards when I ran out of the cash from my food budget during the month. But I am no longer allowing this to be an option for me. My 2023 Review

January 3, 2024 Welcome back everyone, and welcome to the start of another year! This month marks the one year anniversary since I started my blog. I did not write as much as I hoped. But through sharing part of my journey with you, not only did I create reference points, but I learned a lot about myself. Through my blog, I was able to clearly see the importance that planning ahead played in my journey. The weeks that I was able to meal prep, I made it easier to make the healthy choice and eat right for my body. When I created my meal plan for the week and shopped for those specific items, I reduced time and money spent at the store, and in turn, reduced food waste and stockpiling items at home. Doing these things became integral to my success, and I learned that it is important to make time to take care of yourself.
